ABOUT
THE GRADUATE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The College of Business has joined with the Colleges of Agriculture, Architecture and Environmental Design, and Engineering to offer a variety of Graduate Management Programs that reflect the uniqueness of Cal Poly and its "learn by doing" philosophy. Cal Poly's Graduate Management Programs focus on problem solving and a multi-school/multi-discipline approach to finding solutions.
At the graduate level, due to the relatively small program size, Cal Poly offers an academic atmosphere that features easy access to faculty and a strong sense of student esprit de corps. With small class sizes of mostly full-time students, research internships and many other opportunities for faculty/student interaction, Cal Poly has developed a "family atmosphere that is unachievable at other universities.
The following Graduate Management Programs are offered at Cal Poly:
The MBA Program
The Agribusiness Management Program leading to an MBA with a specialization in Agribusiness.
Architecture Management Track leading to a Bachelor of Architecture and an MBA.
Landscape Architecture Management Track leading to a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and an MBA.
The Dual Degree Programs in Engineering leading to two degrees - the MBA and the MS Computer Science, the MS Electrical Engineering, the MS Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering, and the MS Engineering with a specialization in Engineering Management.
Cal Poly has a commitment to integrate disciplines within the College of Business in the MBA program, and a commitment to integrate across the colleges within the university. The Agribusiness program, which is offered jointly by the Colleges of Business and Agriculture, the joint degrees with the programs in the College of Architecture, and the joint degrees with the programs in the College of Engineering are all examples of this commitment, and build on Cal Poly's strengths as a polytechnic university.
Every effort is made to ensure that the Cal Poly Graduate Management student is prepared for a productive and competitive future in a rapidly changing global business environment. Ethical and international business issues are specifically addressed throughout the program.
